Ingredients
- 500g sausage, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (150g) tomato paste
- 1 can (150g) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Optional: Cream and grated cheese, for serving
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook until softened.
- Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned.
- Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beans, chili powder, and paprika. Mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the chili for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors combine.
- Serve hot, optionally with sour cream and grated cheese.
